Perquisites:

1. Pre-tests - Students must attempt the pre-test to assess prior knowledge of the topics covered in the chapter. Students receive credit for concepts they demonstrate mastery of in the pre-test. Assignments are structured so even if the student scores 100% on the pre-test, students will have assignments to complete. Student may submit the pre-test without answering the questions, no minimum score is required.
   

2. Quizzes - Each chapter has a quiz after the first few sections in the chapter. Students have two attempts to score 70% and if they do not score 70% they are asked to email their instructor. Daily checking of quiz scores allow the instructor often react before the student emails. The 2 attempt limited allows the instructor to intervene by providing feedback rather than the student attempting the quiz repeatedly on their own.
   

3. Videos - These are short videos created by the instructor often from recorded classroom lectures. These can also be created specifically for MyMathLab students using Snagit. Videos are stored in Screencast and linked to the assignment by ceating a media assignment. No points are awarded for watching the video.
